Jul 12 / Logo Design Project Goes Clean & Green

by Aaron Weiche

While our main focus at Five Technology is usually web related, we won’t turn away the opportunity for great creative work in other forms when asked.  Easiway Systems of Minnesota wanted us to design their new logo as they sought to align their brand with their trusted reputation, outstanding product line and then launch a new e-commerce website.

Over the last 20 years, EasiWay has grown to be a leader in the screen printing industry, making the most efficient and environmentally friendly screen cleaning and reclaiming products and solutions.  They desired a new look that was crisp, clean, had a water element and a touch of green.

Here are are initial logo design concepts:

EasiWay was impressed and excited with their design choices and it made narrowing down a few to explore difficult.  Through further discussion and ideas, one logo design concept was chosen to work from.  We then presented  a few versions and ultimately came up with a winner.

EasiWay’s new logo design:

The team at Easiway Systems was great to work with and we are now creating their new product labels as well as their e-commerce enabled website.  Stay tuned for the launch of the new website in the near future.

Jun 15 / Web Design Recap: Rosen Properties Gets A New Home

by Aaron Weiche

Today’s real estate market has a lot of sellers asking real estate professionals “can you sell my home fast?”.  Rosen Properties is a Minnesota real estate service that provides home buying, selling and renting services in the Twin Cities area.

An Improved Website Across The Board
Rosen Properties had been using a real estate website solution for some time that lacked in many areas.  While it did provide Rosen a presence online it didn’t have enough value to bring in new customers.  Five’s web design and Internet marketing skills went to work on:

  • Web redesign to improve consumer trust and 1st impression
  • Improve navigation and usability
  • Improve search engine optimization and ongoing SEO
  • Easy to update website powered by the SMC
  • Added a blog to improve SEO and communication
  • Stronger tools to market homes for sale, rent and rent to own
  • Web analytics and goal tracking

The end result is a well rounded web design and web platform that Rosen can continue to build upon.  In this market where people need foreclosure assistance, credit re-building, rent to own options and a faster way to sell a home, Rosen Properties brings a ton of options.

Make sure you check out the new website:  www.RosenProp.com

Apr 16 / A Look At Our Minnesota Web Design Office

by Aaron Weiche

In our industry we often hide behind browsers, Internet connections, email and our web designs.  Just where are these web design experts working everyday?  So here is a look at our office space.  We moved into another section of our 100 year old building this winter as we found a renter for our old space.  It still needs some TLC, but you get the picture.

Mar 20 / We’re Guilty Of A Great Law Firm Web Design

by Aaron Weiche

Five launched a new web design project this past week for the Minnesota and Wisconsin law firm Hansen, Dordell, Bradt, Odlaug & Bradt, PLLP.

HDBOB.com now has a new interface design, content management platform, enhanced attorney profiles and a search engine friendly website.

HDBOB’s past website was focused on the firm’s strong history, but didn’t offer a clear view to their current capabilities and offering. The old site also had some technical obstacles for search engines like Google and Yahoo to correctly index and understand their content.

Web Design Project Features:

The final website project result is something both Five and HDBOB is proud of. If we’re charged with “reckless creativity”, so be it. We figure the HDBOB law practice areas can cover getting us out of trouble.

Jan 09 / Local Web Design Goodness: Buffalo Chamber Website Redesign

by Aaron Weiche

This past month we had the opportunity to complete a website redesign for the Buffalo, MN Chamber of Commerce. It’s a project I enjoyed for the fact I grew up in Buffalo, moved back 4 years ago and have worked with them on and off for the past 6 years.  The Chamber has been on our content management tool, the SMC, for over 5 years but the site’s design was about 7 years old and in need of a serious redesign.

Web Redesign Needs
Visually we wanted the site to feel more vibrant and alive with ample places for photos.  Buffalo is positioned between two beautiful lakes with the downtown right next to Buffalo Lake, so the ability to show off the setting was a must.

We have also built in photo galleries that the chamber will be adding to in the future allowing them to better recap community and chamber events.

Usability wise, we aimed to improve the navigation a bit and utilized drop down navigation for their future expansion and content additions.

Share The News With WordPress & RSS
The website is most frequently updated with news items and upcoming area events on the home page.  We integrated WordPress into the site so that the news updates would be archived and extremely SEO friendly.  In the near future we will be adding RSS and email subscription abilities for site users to be notified as news hist the website.

+ Check out the new Buffalo Chamber website and let us know what you think of it!
